Dental implants

Dental implants are a popular and effective solution for people who have missing teeth or need to replace a damaged tooth. The implant itself is a small titanium post that is surgically placed into the jawbone where the missing tooth was located. Once the implant is placed, it fuses with the surrounding bone tissue through a process called osseointegration, creating a stable and permanent base for a replacement tooth.

After the implant has fully integrated with the jawbone, a small connector called an abutment is attached to the top of the implant. This connector serves as a connection point for the replacement tooth, which is typically a dental crown. The crown is custom-made to match the color, size, and shape of the surrounding teeth, ensuring a natural and seamless appearance.

The entire process of getting a dental implant can take several months, as it involves multiple stages of treatment and healing. However, the end result is a durable and long-lasting replacement tooth that functions and feels like a natural tooth. With proper care and maintenance, dental implants can last for many years and provide a permanent solution for missing or damaged teeth.
